The Inflation Reduction Act does many things, with some questions to its actual impact on inflation. But let’s set aside the IRS stuff, the healthcare stuff, and focus solely on the $369 billion set to support efforts to address climate change.

We believe there is room for improvement in the process of contracting, especially the strong preference for P4P. While P4P contracts shift risk from the contact holder, the burden and impact are passed on to the program participant, can inhibit innovation, and disproportionally impacts program participants in rural, hard-to-reach, and disadvantaged communities—the very people the SJVCEO is charged to serve.

Three years in and movies are back, theaters are open, and ComicCon left us deep in our feelings. It’s a far cry from where we started when we put out our first Blockbuster playlist in 2020, and being back in a theater is a gift and the anticipation of settling in and going someplace totally new for a few hours is something we’re so grateful to do again. (Even if it means paying to see a Minion movie three times over.)

Where one day we were hosting empty ride and drives with the second generation of the Priuses and in the blink of an eye--or the course of a decade and half—every other car on our recent road trip to LA was an electric vehicle of one type or another.
