It appears to be a new trend for companies to take products that we use on a daily basis and recreate them in such a way that they generate electricity. Two products that fall into this category are wood floors and tires.

We depend on trees to clean the air, regulate the temperature, as well as a host of other things. As amazing and vital to our ecosystem as they are, they can’t produce sustainable energy. However, 3D printed trees can!

The California Financing Coordinating Committee is hosting TWO virtual events to learn about various avenues for funding of your project! Obtain information about currently available infrastructure grant, loan and bond financing programs, and options.

Sunlight is probably the most sustainable form of energy that exists; it is certainly the most abundant. The problem, however, is that it can’t be used to fuel everything. For example, we are not able to use it as a fuel for our vehicles. In fact, in most instances where fuel is needed and/or used in our everyday lives, it is in a liquid or gaseous form.

I was introduced to an online tool that I think can change the trajectory of how we educate individuals about the potential career opportunities that all tie into the sectors that our work crosses into (Energy, Climate, Environment, etc.). The Green Buildings Career Map (created by IREC) offers a high-level overview of the opportunities for job entry into industries like facility management, construction, or even commercial retrofitting.

September was a busy month for the SJVCEO and SoCalREN! CEA’s being completed and projects in full swing, we are excited to approach the last quarter of the year with savings and best practices to share!
